This lovely Saguna Embroidered Blue Caftan is hand-embroidered by women artisans in Uttar Pradesh, India. Each embroidery motif is block-printed onto the garment and then the women artisans take the caftans home to hand-embroider, which allows them to do the work on their own schedule between other household work.  Featuring a pleated design, these elegant, soft cotton nightgowns are gorgeously crafted and comfortable to wear with free sizing.  One size fits most.

So whether you purchase one of these robes for a beloved mom or mom-to-be, to love on your wife a little extra, gift one to a bride or newlywed, or send one to your daughter for her birthday, you'll appreciate the story behind the product. And she will love that your thoughtful gift to her also gives back to the artisans who created it.

"Sevya's fair trade clothing is made by women embroidery artisans in Northern India, who do the fine hand-embroidery in their homes. This gives them the freedom and flexibility to work when it is convenient for them while earning a sustainable livelihood from their craft. With the savings earned from this work, these women form their own micro-finance groups, so they can handle any financial needs without resorting to high-interest money lenders."

Available in two sizes -S/M, L/XL- this elegant Caftan is designed to fit comfortably.
