Decorate your office with flowers, your kitchen with herbs, and your bedroom with succulents when you add one of these lovely Round Planters to your home.  Hand-crafted by ceramic artisan partners in San Juan de Oriente Nicaragua, each piece is thrown on a non-electric kick wheel, wood kiln-fired and hand-painted before gracing your home's doorstep.  The simple yet sophisticated aesthetic created indoors or outdoors with these planters will remind you of the hands that created each piece.  Available in Black or Gray.

You'll love the handmade touches and all that the uniqueness of hand-crafted, culturally traditional artistry says through this planter and all of our ceramic collection from Nicaragua.

Duilio Jimenez and his wife Damarias have been working with Women of the Cloud Forest for over 8 years. They head one of many family workshops in the town of San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua, a community of over 5000 potters. With so much local competition and limited tourism, every workshop seems to be looking for an opportunity for a fair and steady market.  And we love sharing their stories and offering our market for their gorgeous one-of-a-kind products!

"Women of the Cloud Forest has been working in fair trade since 2001. We have direct, long-term relationships with small family workshops and cooperatives in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Peru. In addition to placing consistent orders with our artisan partners, we provide business training and product development/design and we offer no-interest micro-loans and direct grants for workshop capacity building. This holistic approach to business enables our artisan partners to grow their businesses and access new markets without creating cycles of dependency."
